Partnership with the U.S. EPA's Design for the Environment Program

For those customers seeking products with 3rd party certification, P&G Professional is a partner in the EPA's Design for the Environment (DfE) program, which recognizes safer consumer and industrial/institutional products. DfE allows products that it has determined are effective and protective of health and the environment to carry its logo. DfE recognizes that these products contain the safest possible ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals of their class.

P&G Professional's current DfE certified products are:

  • Mr. Clean Professional Finished Floor Cleaner
  • P&G ProLine Finished Floor Cleaner
  • New Directions Floor Finish
  • Downy Professional Unscented

Additionally, our Comet Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner is among the first of its class to participate in DfE's pilot program for potential green disinfectants.
